The Lake Elmo Jaycees were founded in 1971.  Numerous chapter members have went on to serve the Junior Chamber on a higher level, from state vice presidents, to state presidents, to national presidents.

The chapter's largest project, known as Huff-n-Puff, was started in 1976.  It is 4 days of softball tournaments held in and around the Lake Elmo Area.  There are over 90 teams that play in this tournament.  That is not all the chapter does for this event, we also have food and t-shirt sales, along with a golf tournament, and volleyball tournament.

The chapter also runs many other projects through out the years.  Some of these projects are: Easter Egg Hunt, Sandbox Fill, Punt Pass and Kick, The Annual Golf Tournament, Road Rally, Socials, Yard Clean Up, Highway Clean Up (since 1991).
